The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. – Colossians 1:15-16
As a graduate and professional school student, you face many joys and challenges throughout your academic career. Which ever college or department you are in, professors and fellow students are part of your formation during this time. Where does Christ exist in this world? According to Paul’s letter to the Colossians, through Christ all things are created – including all that is good in your academic program on campus today.
For this reason, InterVarsity Christian Graduate Fellowship (IVCGF) meets regularly to encourage one another to abide in God’s Word, to live in the fullness of the Holy Spirit, and to spend time with communities of Christians so that God is also part of our formation. As we recognize God’s unfailing mercy and love in this world, we also seek ways to engage the campus with this Good News through the work we do and the relationships we build.
All grad students all welcome to join in – whether you are a Christian seeking a home, wondering if your faith has any meaning in grad school, or curious about what it means to follow Jesus.
